Role & responsibilities

- Operate and monitor optical fiber draw towers as per defined process parameters.

- Achieve daily/monthly production targets, yield, productivity, and OEE.

- Monitor critical parameters: drawing speed, furnace temperature, coating, tension, capstan, and fiber diameter.

- Identify & troubleshoot process abnormalities affecting fiber quality and productivity.

- Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Process Engineering & Utilities teams.

- Monitor fiber defects and ensure product quality.

- Maintain production, downtime, rejection & shift records.

- Analyze losses, downtime, rejection & material consumption and implement corrective actions.

- Ensure compliance with SOPs, quality systems, EHS & 5S.

- Participate in RCA, CAPA, Kaizen & continuous improvement.





- Coordinate shifts & manpower to ensure uninterrupted production.

- Support trials, process improvements & current product development.

- Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working practices.

Preferred candidate profile

- Knowledge of optical fiber drawing process and draw tower operations.

- Understanding of PLC, HMI, sensors, drives, motors, temperature controllers & automation systems.

- Basic knowledge of process control and instrumentation.

- Understanding of OEE, productivity, yield, rejection, downtime & process capability.

- Knowledge of MS Excel & production reporting.

- Problem-solving and root-cause-analysis skills
