Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Product Head – Payday Lending to lead and manage end-to-end payday lending business operations. The ideal candidate must have mandatory hands-on experience in payday loans, short-tenure lending, and small-ticket unsecured lending.

The candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, improving operational efficiency, managing lending teams, monitoring portfolio performance, and ensuring a smooth customer journey while maintaining portfolio quality and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and oversee end-to-end business operations for the payday lending portfolio.
- Drive loan sourcing, disbursements, revenue growth, and overall portfolio performance.
- Coordinate with Credit, Risk, Collections, Sales, Product, and Technology teams to streamline lending operations.
- Monitor key performance indicators, including turnaround time (TAT), approval rates, disbursements, Days Past Due (DPD), bounce rates, and collection efficiency.
- Oversee underwriting coordination, loan processing, disbursement, repayment, and collection workflows.
- Develop and implement SOPs, operational policies, and internal controls.
- Lead, manage, and improve the productivity of large operational teams.
- Identify operational gaps and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Ensure a smooth customer journey throughout the digital lending lifecycle.




- Monitor portfolio quality and support strategies to reduce delinquencies and improve repayment performance.
- Ensure adherence to applicable digital lending regulations and internal compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute business growth strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Payday Lending, Digital Lending, NBFC, or FinTech.
- Mandatory: Proven hands-on experience in payday lending operations.
- Robust understanding of short-tenure, small-ticket unsecured loans.
- Extensive experience in lending business operations and operational management.
- Proven track record of managing teams and driving operational performance.
- Good understanding of the complete digital lending lifecycle.
- Knowledge of Loan Origination Systems (LOS), Loan Management Systems (LMS), underwriting coordination, and collections.
- Experience monitoring lending KPIs, portfolio quality, DPD, bounce rates, and collection performance.
- Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to drive business growth while maintaining operational efficiency and portfolio quality.

Preferred Candidate
- Candidates with direct experience in payday lending businesses will be given preference.
- Immediate joiners or candidates serving a short notice period are preferred.

Important: Candidates without hands-on payday lending experience will not be considered. Pay: ₹619,000.00 - ₹1,080,000.00 per year
