About the Role

We are looking for a Product Development Engineer to work on the development and improvement of advanced thermal-processing and industrial equipment.

This is not a pure marketing or pure simulation role . The position combines product development, thermal engineering, mechanical engineering, R&D;, process understanding and technical problem-solving .

The person will work closely with R&D;, production and other engineering teams to take ideas from concept and engineering analysis through development, validation and implementation .

Candidates with experience in industrial furnaces, ovens, heat-treatment equipment, reactors, process equipment or other complex engineered machinery are preferred. However, strong candidates from adjacent thermal or industrial-equipment domains will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development & R&D;

- Develop and improve industrial thermal-processing equipment and related engineering systems.
- Work on new product development, product architecture, mechanical design and engineering optimisation.
- Identify engineering requirements for emerging technologies and develop suitable equipment/process solutions.
- Participate in the complete product lifecycle from concept development through testing, implementation and commercialisation.
- Develop customer-specific engineering solutions for specialised applications.
- Work with R&D; and production teams to convert engineering concepts into manufacturable products.

Thermal & Engineering Analysis
- Apply fundamentals of heat transfer, fluid flow,



thermal processing and mechanical engineering to product development.
- Work on thermal equipment such as industrial furnaces, ovens, heat-treatment systems, reactors, process equipment and material-handling/conveyance systems.
- Analyse and solve thermal, flow, mechanical and process-related engineering problems.
- Use engineering simulations and analysis tools where required.
- Understand and interpret CFD/ANSYS results and translate them into practical design decisions.

Design, Prototyping & Validation
- Modify and develop engineering designs using CAD tools.
- Support prototype development, testing and validation.
- Analyse test results and identify opportunities for design improvement.
- Work with production/manufacturing teams to implement engineering changes.
- Prepare technical documentation, drawings, specifications and product-development documentation.

Cross-Functional & Customer Interaction
- Collaborate with R&D;, production, manufacturing and other engineering functions.
- Participate in technical discussions and design reviews.
- Understand customer requirements and translate them into engineering solutions.
- Support technical discussions with customers when required.
- Travel to customer/project locations for technical discussions, implementation, testing or troubleshooting.

Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve product performance, reliability, cost and manufacturability.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and develop practical engineering solutions.




- Take ownership of engineering problems and work independently even when information is incomplete.
- Contribute to recent ideas, experiments and technology-development initiatives.

What We’re Looking For
- B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline .
- Around 2–5 years of relevant experience in product development, R&D;, industrial equipment, process equipment, machinery or thermal engineering.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering and thermal/flow fundamentals .
- Experience in product development, engineering design, prototyping, testing, optimisation or process development.
- Ability to independently analyse engineering problems and arrive at practical solutions.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, particularly R&D; and Production/Manufacturing .
- Ability to work with incomplete information and take ownership of engineering decisions.
- Working knowledge of CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor or equivalent .
- Ability to independently modify and work with engineering designs.
- Basic to intermediate understanding of CFD/ANSYS is an advantage; ability to interpret simulation results is sufficient.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10–20% depending on project/business requirements.
