ABOUT THE ROLE The Senior Deputy Manager / Manager – MEP Procurement & SCM will take complete regional procurement ownership for the South Central Region (Telangana & Andhra Pradesh)—the organization’s largest revenue-generating territory. Based out of the Begumpet corporate office in Hyderabad, this role reports directly to the General Manager – Supply Chain Management.

In this high-impact individual contributor role, you will hold end-to-end commercial and delivery ownership of complete MEP procurement packages (HVAC, piping, plumbing, electrical panels, gas manifolds, and site execution sub-contracts). You will act as an operational enabler for regional project delivery, coordinating with regional sales and project management teams, conducting local site reviews across key hubs like Genome Valley (~35–40 km from base office), and directing standard low-value package execution through Bangalore-based backend support engineers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- End-to-End MEP Procurement Ownership: Direct ownership of regional MEP procurement from BOQ review and order logging through enquiry generation, RFQ floating, quote evaluation, technical clarification meetings, price negotiations, and purchase order (PO) release.
- Package & Commodity Expertise: Drive commercial and technical finalization across specialized MEP categories including HVAC systems, exhaust containment, process piping, plumbing, electrical distribution, and gas manifold systems.
- Vendor Development & Commercial Control: Identify, qualify,



and negotiate with regional vendors; maintain 4–5 audited, reliable vendor options per major MEP category to guarantee budget control, quality compliance, and supply chain continuity.
- Project Delivery & Vendor Expediting: Act as an operational partner for regional project teams; track vendor factory progress, expedite long-lead equipment, and proactively resolve site supply failures or delivery delays.
- Backend & Cross-Functional Coordination: Assign standard, low-value procurement packages to Bangalore-based backend support engineers while retaining complete accountability for overall package delivery, deadlines, and cost.
- Site Governance & Dispute Resolution: Conduct regular site visits to project locations across Genome Valley and regional sites; resolve site-level commercial disputes, scope variations, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and warranty claims with sub-contractors.
- ERP, MIS & Compliance Management: Maintain weekly regional trackers and generate monthly MIS reports using enterprise ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics and Procure P2P tools); monitor budget vs. actual procurement spend and enforce compliance with organizational SOPs and approval matrices.

PROJECTS & OPERATIONS ENVIRONMENT

- South Central Revenue Anchor: Direct sourcing and commercial execution driving the company's highest-revenue operating region.
- MEP-Intensive Infrastructure: Complex integration of HVAC exhaust systems, specialty gas piping, cleanroom infrastructure, and electrical distribution for high-tech laboratory environments.
- Hybrid Operating Matrix: Corporate office-based role (Begumpet) with periodic site presence across Genome Valley, collaborating with internal project managers, design engineers, external sub-contractors, and regional suppliers.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

- Professional Experience: 12–15 years of hands-on experience in MEP procurement, project purchasing, or EPC supply chain management.
- Core MEP Package Expertise: Demonstrated technical and commercial understanding of complete MEP packages (HVAC, piping, plumbing, electrical distribution, gas manifolds).
- Commercial Acumen & Urgency: High urgency, strong troubleshooting capability, aggressive price negotiation skills, and proven ability to mitigate vendor supply risks under tight timelines.
- Career Stability: Solid track record of employment stability; candidates with excessive job-hopping will be excluded.
- Notice Period & Availability:



Maximum 60 days notice period (candidates with 90-day unalterable notice periods to be avoided; replacement required by mid-November).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Education: Bachelor's degree (B.E. / B.Tech) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering mandatory; MBA in Supply Chain or Operations Management preferred.
- Language Skills: Fluency in Telugu is strongly preferred for effective regional vendor negotiations and site-level stakeholder coordination.
- ERP Systems: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Procure, SAP, or Oracle P2P modules (in-house training for Microsoft Dynamics and Procure will be provided during a 15-day onboarding stint at Bangalore HQ).
- Domain Background: Sourcing experience from Tier-1/Tier-2 EPC or MEP contracting firms (e.g., Sterling & Wilson, Blue Star, Voltas, Shapoorji Pallonji, Suvidha Engineers, L&T; B⁣, Fabtech Cleanrooms).

KEY PERFORMANCE INDCATORS (KPIs)

- Budget Adherence & Cost Savings: Delivery of MEP packages within or under baseline project budgets through value engineering and strategic negotiation.
- On-Time In-Full (OTIF) Delivery: 100% schedule alignment for critical and long-lead material deliveries to project sites.
- Vendor Base Reliability: Retention and qualification of 4–5 active backup suppliers per critical MEP package category.
- Working Capital Optimization: Negotiation of favorable vendor payment terms, milestone structures, and advance payment controls.
- MIS & Reporting Discipline: Timely generation of weekly project trackers and monthly regional SCM MIS reports with zero lag.

COMPENSATION & BENEFIT PACKAGE A) Salary & Incentive Structure

- Target CTC: ₹20.0 to ₹25.0 Lakhs per annum (Total CTC), commensurate with experience and capability.

- Site Travel Allowance: Full reimbursement for official local travel and site visits (Begumpet to Genome Valley and regional sites).
