Job Summary

We are looking for a Procurement Engineer responsible for sourcing materials, equipment, and services required for projects. The candidate will coordinate with vendors, suppliers, project teams, and accounts to ensure timely procurement at competitive prices while maintaining required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Prepare RFQs (Request for Quotations) and obtain competitive quotations.
- Compare quotations based on price, quality, specifications, delivery time, and payment terms.
- Negotiate prices and commercial terms with suppliers.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) as per approved requirements.
- Coordinate with project/site teams to understand material requirements.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
- Follow up with vendors regarding orders, dispatches, and deliveries.
- Verify materials against approved specifications and purchase requirements.
- Maintain procurement records, quotations, POs, invoices, and delivery documents.




- Coordinate with the stores and accounts departments for material receipt and payment processing.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve supply-related issues.
- Develop and maintain a database of approved suppliers and vendors.
- Support cost-saving initiatives and maintain procurement within approved budgets.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related Engineering field.
- 5-8 years of experience in procurement/purchase, preferably in MEP, construction, or engineering projects.
- Good knowledge of construction and MEP materials and equipment.
- Positive negotiation and vendor-management skills.
- Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and procurement/ERP software.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
