Key Responsibilities

1. Academic Leadership

- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the IB curriculum and teaching practices.
- Ensure alignment with IB standards, programme requirements, and evaluation frameworks.
- Promote inquiry-based, concept-driven, and student-centred learning.
- Monitor teaching quality, student progress, and academic outcomes.

2. School Leadership & Management

- Provide strategic direction for the school's academic and operational development.
- Build a collaborative, high-performing team of educators and school leaders.
- Oversee recruitment, staff development, performance management, and succession planning.
- Ensure effective school policies, systems, and processes.

3. IB Programme Implementation

- Ensure compliance with IB Programme Standards and Practices.
- Lead programme evaluation, authorisation, and accreditation processes, as applicable.
- Foster the IB Learner Profile attributes and international-mindedness across the school.




- Support professional development and IB workshops for teachers.

4. Student Development & Well-being

- Promote holistic development, inclusion, safeguarding, and student well-being.
- Encourage critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and global citizenship.
- Ensure a protected, supportive, and engaging learning environment.

5. Parent & Stakeholder Engagement

- Build strong relationships with parents, the school management, and the wider community.
- Communicate the school's vision, academic progress, and development priorities effectively.
- Represent the school at relevant educational forums and events.

6. Admissions & Institutional Growth

- Collaborate with the admissions and marketing teams to strengthen enrolment.
- Contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, and resource optimisation.
- Strengthen the school's reputation and positioning within the international education sector.

Key Requirements:

- Experience as Principal / Head of School / Senior Academic Leader in an IB school.
- Strong understanding of IB philosophy, curriculum, and assessment practices.
- Experience in academic leadership, team development, and school operations.
- Knowledge of IB authorisation and evaluation processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
