Key Responsibilities

- Design and build large-scale, distributed backend systems that are highly scalable, reliable, and available.

- Own and drive architecture, system design, and key technical decisions across critical backend components.

- Work hands-on with complex production systems and critical services.

- Solve challenging problems involving concurrency, consistency, distributed processing, and asynchronous architectures.

- Improve system performance, scalability, reliability, fault tolerance, and availability.

- Identify and resolve complex production issues through deep troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.

- Establish engineering standards, best practices, and technical guidelines across teams.

- Mentor Senior Engineers, Staff Engineers, and technical leads and influence engineering practices.

- Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

- Evaluate and implement AI-assisted development tools and AI/ML capabilities where they provide meaningful engineering or product value.

Must-Have Technical Skills

- 12+ years of backend software engineering experience.

- Strong hands-on expertise in Golang (Go).

- Candidates with strong expertise in Java, Python, or C++ may also be considered.

- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across performance, scalability, reliability, and production issues.

- Previous experience in a Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, Lead Architect, or equivalent technical leadership role.

- Excellent technical communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills.

Preferred Skills / Domain Experience

- Experience in FinTech, Payments, Banking, or Financial Platforms.

- Experience with Cryptocurrency, Stablecoins, Blockchain, or Web3.

- Strong experience in Go performance tuning and production debugging.

- Exposure to AI/ML, Generative AI, or Agentic AI.

- Experience using AI-assisted software development tools and workflows.

- Experience building high-throughput, low-latency, transaction-heavy systems.
