Job Summary

Knowtifics Technologies is looking for experienced Penetration Testers / Cybersecurity Specialists with 5–8 years of strong hands-on experience in identifying, validating and reporting security vulnerabilities across web applications, APIs, networks, infrastructure, cloud and containerized environments.

The ideal candidate should be capable of independently conducting security assessments, performing manual exploitation, preparing professional reports and working with engineering teams through remediation and retesting.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessments for:
- Web applications
- REST APIs
- Networks and infrastructure
- Cloud environments
- Docker and Kubernetes environments
- Test authentication, authorization, session management and access controls.
- Identify and validate vulnerabilities including:
- SQL Injection
- XSS
- SSRF
- IDOR / Broken Access Control
- Authentication vulnerabilities
- Security misconfigurations
- Privilege escalation
- API security vulnerabilities
- Perform manual exploitation and proof-of-concept validation.
- Conduct network and infrastructure security assessments across Linux and Windows.
- Assess AWS, Azure and/or GCP environments.
- Review CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps security controls.
- Analyze vulnerabilities based on technical and business impact.
- Prepare detailed penetration-testing reports with evidence, risk ratings and remediation recommendations.
- Present findings to developers, architects, security teams and customers.
- Support vulnerability remediation and perform retesting.
- Participate in customer meetings and technical security discussions.

Infrastructure & Network Security

- Practical experience assessing Linux and Windows environments.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and TLS/SSL.
- Knowledge of firewalls, network services, and common infrastructure vulnerabilities.
- Familiarity with Active Directory security assessment is preferred.

Cloud & Container Security Experience with one or more:

- AWS
- Microsoft Azure
- Google Cloud
- Docker
- Kubernetes
- OpenShift

DevSecOps & Automation
- Git and CI/CD pipelines
- DevSecOps security practices
- Secrets management
- Dependency/security scanning
- Python, Bash, PowerShell or similar scripting

Experience 5–8 Years

- 5–8 years of relevant experience in penetration testing, VAPT, or application and infrastructure security.
- Proven hands-on experience independently conducting security assessments.
- Strong understanding of vulnerability validation, exploitation techniques, and risk assessment.
- Experience preparing technical reports with clear findings, supporting evidence, and remediation guidance.
- Ability to communicate security findings effectively with technical teams and customers.




- Experience supporting remediation activities and performing retesting.

Preferred Certifications
- OSCP
- OSCE
- OSEP
- CREST
- GPEN
- CEH
- CISSP

Certifications are an advantage, but practical hands-on penetration-testing experience is more important.
