Job Summary

Digimedicus is looking for a Patient Scheduling & Collections Executive with experience in US healthcare and medical billing. The candidate will coordinate patient appointments, communicate with US patients regarding outstanding balances, collect patient payments, and maintain accurate records in healthcare practice management systems.

The ideal candidate must have excellent English communication skills, a professional telephone manner, and practical experience in patient scheduling, patient collections, or US medical billing.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Scheduling

- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
- Make inbound and outbound calls to patients regarding appointments.
- Send appointment reminders and follow up on missed appointments and cancellations.
- Update patient demographics and appointment details in the EHR/practice management system.
- Coordinate with provider offices to resolve scheduling conflicts.

Patient Collections

- Contact patients regarding outstanding balances, copayments, deductibles, and coinsurance.
- Explain patient statements and financial responsibilities clearly and professionally.
- Collect payments over the phone using approved, secure payment procedures.
- Follow up on unpaid patient balances and document all collection activities.
- Assist with payment arrangements in accordance with client policies.
- Resolve routine billing queries and escalate disputed or incorrect balances to the appropriate team.

Medical Billing & RCM Support





- Understand US healthcare insurance terminology, including EOBs, copays, deductibles, and coinsurance.
- Coordinate with billing, insurance verification, and AR teams to clarify patient balances.
- Maintain accurate account notes, payment records, and follow-up statuses.
- Follow HIPAA requirements and company data-security policies.

Eligibility Criteria
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in US healthcare, medical billing, patient scheduling, or patient collections.
- Experience handling US patient calls is preferred.
- Good spoken English and professional communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of US healthcare insurance and patient financial responsibility.
- Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) or similar EHR systems is an advantage.
- Willingness to work from the Mohali office during the US night shift.

Compensation

Salary: As per experience and interview assessment.

Key: This position requires working the night shift from 8:30 PM to 5:30 AM IST, Monday to Friday, with weekly offs on Saturday and Sunday, subject to business requirements.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
