Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Patent Agent role based in Delhi.

The Patent

Agent will be responsible for drafting patent specifications, preparing patent applications, and coordinating filing activities with relevant authorities. Daily tasks include conducting patentability assessments, performing prior art and patent searches, and analyzing technical and legal aspects of inventions for clients across various sectors. The role also involves monitoring application statuses, responding to office actions, and collaborating with legal, compliance, and technical teams to maintain accurate documentation and timelines.

The Patent





Agent will engage directly with clients to gather invention disclosures, clarify technical details, and provide guidance on intellectual property strategy aligned with Indian and international patent law.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Patent Preparation and drafting clear, comprehensive patent specifications.
- Candidates should possess skills in managing Patent Applications, including filing, prosecution, and tracking application progress.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Patent Law and regulatory frameworks applicable in India and relevant international jurisdictions.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Patentability assessments and analysis of novelty, inventive step, and industrial applicability.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Patent Searching, including prior art searches using major patent databases and tools.
- Strong analytical, research, and technical writing skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Degree in science, engineering, or a related technical field; registration as a Patent Agent with the Indian Patent Office is highly beneficial.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to clients and internal teams, and to work collaboratively in a consulting environment.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and maintain thorough records.
