Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Packaging Supervisor to manage the overall operations of our packaging factory. The candidate will be responsible for managing packaging materials, labour, inventory, production planning, quality, and day-to-day factory operations. The ideal candidate should have sound knowledge of packaging materials and processes, strong execution skills, and the ability to manage resources efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Factory Operations: Manage the day-to-day operations of the packaging factory and ensure smooth, timely, and efficient production.

Packaging Knowledge: Have sound knowledge of packaging materials, types, specifications, manufacturing processes, and quality standards.

Material Management:



Plan and manage the procurement, availability, storage, and consumption of raw materials and packaging supplies.

Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, minimise wastage, and prevent stock-outs or excess inventory.

Labour Management: Supervise factory workers, allocate tasks, manage attendance, and ensure optimum manpower utilisation and productivity.

Production Planning: Plan daily production as per business requirements, monitor output, and ensure timely completion of orders.

Quality Control: Ensure packaging quality, consistency, and adherence to defined specifications and standards.

Cost and Wastage Control: Monitor material consumption, labour costs, and production efficiency to minimise operational costs.

Safety and Maintenance: Ensure workplace safety, proper material handling, equipment upkeep, and discipline on the factory floor.

Reporting: Maintain daily production, material consumption, inventory, manpower, and wastage reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Sound knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and quality requirements.

Experience in managing factory operations, inventory, materials, and labour.

Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Good command of Excel or Google Sheets for maintaining operational records and reports.

Ability to manage workers, handle day-to-day operational challenges, and take ownership.

Practical, proactive, and result-oriented approach with a focus on productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
