Role & responsibilities :

Key Responsibilities

- Lead NPD projects from concept to commercialisation within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Convert consumer and market requirements into Product Requirement Specifications (PRS/PRD).
- Develop innovative product concepts through market/competitor benchmarking and technology evaluation.
- Coordinate with Marketing, Quality, Purchase, Manufacturing, Suppliers, Service and Sales.
- Drive mechanical/electrical/electronic product design, prototyping and engineering validation.
- Apply DFM, DFA, Design-to-Cost, Value Engineering and Reliability principles.
- Develop and manage BOM, drawings, specifications, prototypes, tooling and engineering changes.
- Prepare and execute DVP, FMEA, performance, safety, endurance and reliability testing.
- Identify and develop suppliers for critical components and current technologies.
- Support tooling development, pilot production, process validation and production ramp-up.
- Drive cost optimisation,

- Analyse product/field failures and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Track NPD projects using Time, Cost, Quality and Performance metrics.
- Strong understanding of consumer appliance product development

- DFM/DFA, FMEA and reliability engineering

Preferred candidate profile : 510 years | Qualification: B.E./B.Tech Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics
