Role Description The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Carrier’s network infrastructure to support secure and reliable operations. This full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Hyderabad Area involves configuring and managing switches, routers, firewalls, and related network hardware and software.

Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring network performance, diagnosing and resolving connectivity and security issues, and performing root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.

The Network

Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams,



participate in infrastructure projects, document network architectures and procedures, and support change management and incident response activities. The role also includes evaluating new network technologies and best practices to enhance scalability, resilience, and security across the environment.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Network Engineering and Network Design to plan, implement, and optimize complex network topologies.
- Hands-on Network Administration experience, including configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting to diagnose performance issues, connectivity problems, and hardware/software faults in multi-site environments.
- Knowledge of Network Security principles and technologies, such as ACLs, IDS/IPS, secure remote access, and segmentation.
- Experience with common networking protocols and standards (TCP/IP, VLANs, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, DHCP, DNS) and enterprise network tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work on-site in the Greater Hyderabad Area, collaborate with diverse teams, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant industry certifications (such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent) and experience in large-scale or industrial environments are beneficial.
