- Design enterprise network architectures, reference models, and standards across data center, WAN, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Make architecture-level decisions, balancing performance, cost, security, resilience, and operational efficiency.
- Evaluate multi-vendor and open-source technologies to select the best-fit solutions.
- Lead end-to-end network architecture for complex, multi-domain and multi-region programmes.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, security, application, and business stakeholders to resolve conflicting requirements and drive decisions.
- Establish network governance, review designs, enforce standards, and guide engineering and delivery teams.
- Design high-availability, disaster recovery, data center interconnect, and secure network access solutions.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong networking fundamentals
BGP (mandatory), OSPF, TCP/IP
.
- Data center networking, fabric design, and network security/segmentation.
- Software-Defined Networking (SDN), VMware NSX, VXLAN, and overlay networking.
- Hybrid cloud networking and network automation using Python/APIs.
- Strong Linux and networking integration, including OS-level troubleshooting.
- Exposure to containers and infrastructure tooling.
Experience & Competencies
- Proven experience delivering complex, enterprise-scale network architecture programmes.
- Experience with high availability, disaster recovery, multi-region networking, and data center interconnects.
- Financial services or other regulated-industry experience preferred.
- Solid stakeholder management, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to articulate technical trade-offs, challenge assumptions constructively, and drive architectural decisions to closure.
