OpenShift DevOps Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced OpenShift DevOps Engineer with robust expertise in Kubernetes, Linux administration, container orchestration, and DevOps practices. The candidate will be responsible for managing containerized applications, supporting OpenShift environments, automating deployments, and ensuring platform availability, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

- Deploy, configure, and manage applications on Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms.
- Administer and troubleshoot Linux servers, including system performance, networking, and security.
- Manage Kubernetes clusters, pods, deployments, services, routes, and configurations.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, deployment, and release processes.
- Automate operational tasks using scripting tools such as Shell or Python.
- Monitor application and infrastructure health, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.
- Manage container images, registries, resource allocation, and application scaling.
- Support incident management, production deployments, and environment maintenance.




- Follow security best practices, access controls, and configuration management standards.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to improve platform reliability.

Mandatory Skills
- Strong experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes.
- Good knowledge of Linux administration, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Hands-on experience with Docker or other container technologies.
- Understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Scripting knowledge in Shell/Bash or Python.
- Experience in troubleshooting, monitoring, and managing production environments.
- Knowledge of networking, YAML configurations, and container orchestration.

Preferred Skills
- Red Hat OpenShift certification or Kubernetes certification.
- Exposure to Ansible or other configuration management tools.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Familiarity with Git, Helm charts, and infrastructure automation.
- Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
