About the Role

Sadbhav Futuretech Limited is looking for an experienced O&M; Head to lead the overall Operations & Maintenance function across its Ground Mount, Floating Solar and other Solar PV projects.

The role will have end-to-end responsibility for plant performance, generation, availability, asset reliability, maintenance strategy, operational efficiency, safety, cost optimization and client satisfaction across the O&M; portfolio.

The ideal candidate should have 20+ years of experience in Power / Renewable Energy, with robust experience in Solar PV O&M; and leadership of large-scale and multi-location solar projects. Experience in Floating Solar O&M; will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Solar O&M; function across the project portfolio.
- Take end-to-end ownership of plant availability, generation, performance and asset reliability.
- Develop and implement O&M; strategy, annual maintenance plans, operational budgets and performance improvement initiatives.
- Lead O&M; operations for Ground Mount, Solar Pump, Rooftop, Floating Solar and other utility-scale Solar PV projects.
- Monitor key KPIs including Plant Availability, Performance Ratio (PR), Generation, MTTR, MTBF and equipment downtime.
- Establish robust preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance systems.
- Ensure effective maintenance of PV modules, inverters, transformers, HT/LT systems, switchgear, SCADA, transmission systems and other balance-of-system equipment.
- Review plant performance through SCADA and monitoring systems and initiate corrective actions for performance deviations.
- Lead RCA, CAPA and reliability improvement initiatives for recurring equipment failures.
- Ensure timely resolution of major breakdowns and critical technical issues.




- Develop manpower plans and build a strong O&M; leadership and technical team across project sites.
- Manage O&M; budgets and drive cost optimization and operational efficiency.
- Oversee O&M; contracts, AMC agreements, OEM relationships, contractors and service providers.
- Ensure compliance with contractual SLA, generation and performance commitments.

Floating Solar O&M;

- Lead O&M; activities for floating solar PV installations and ensure protected and reliable plant operations.
- Oversee inspection and maintenance of floating platforms/pontoons, float structures, anchoring and mooring systems, walkways and access systems.
- Monitor the condition and integrity of floating structures and identify potential risks related to water level variation, weather conditions, wind, waves and corrosion.
- Ensure safe operation and maintenance of electrical equipment installed in floating environments.
- Establish inspection schedules for floats, mooring lines, anchors, cables, junction boxes and other floating-system components.
- Coordinate with specialist contractors/OEMs for floating-system maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with water-body safety, electrical safety and environmental requirements applicable to floating solar projects.
- Develop emergency response and preventive maintenance plans for floating solar assets.

Operational & Leadership Responsibilities

- Establish and monitor SOPs, maintenance standards, checklists and operational processes.
- Ensure adequate availability of critical spares, tools, equipment and resources.
- Review project-wise O&M; performance and conduct periodic operational reviews with site teams.
- Ensure compliance with HSE, statutory, electrical and environmental requirements.
- Drive a strong safety culture across all O&M; locations.




- Manage key client and stakeholder relationships and resolve operational escalations.
- Present regular O&M; MIS, performance dashboards, cost reports and strategic updates to senior management.
- Identify opportunities for technology adoption, automation and digitalization to improve O&M; efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance asset life, plant efficiency, reliability and profitability.
- Coordinate with EPC, Projects, Engineering, Procurement, Finance and Business teams for smooth project handover and O&M; transition.
- Provide technical and strategic inputs during project commissioning, handover and transition from EPC to O&M;.

Education

- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering preferred.
- Candidates with strong experience in Power / Renewable Energy / Solar may also be considered.

Experience

- 20+ years of overall experience in Power, Renewable Energy, Solar or related infrastructure.
- Significant experience in Solar PV Operations & Maintenance.
- Strong experience in Ground Mount Solar O&M;.
- Experience in Floating Solar O&M; will be highly preferred.
- Experience managing multiple projects, large portfolios and geographically distributed teams.
- Proven experience in senior leadership, budgeting, vendor management and client management.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, solar PV technology, SCADA and plant performance monitoring.
