Role Description This is a full time remote role for a Mobile Application Developer at Mariner's Update.

The Mobile Application

Developer will design, develop, test, and maintain mobile applications that support maritime compliance, training, and vessel operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with product and maritime subject-matter experts to translate requirements into technical specifications, implementing new features, and optimizing existing mobile solutions for performance and usability. The role involves writing clean, maintainable code using object-oriented principles, troubleshooting and resolving defects,



and ensuring compatibility across platforms and devices. The developer will also participate in code reviews, contribute to documentation, and support continuous improvement of the digital tools offered to maritime clients.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Mobile Application Development and experience working with Mobile Applications in production environments.
- Candidates should possess solid Application Development experience, including end-to-end design, implementation, and maintenance of software solutions.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and apply OOP principles to build scalable, maintainable codebases.
- Candidates should possess practical experience in iOS Development, including use of relevant frameworks, tools, and App Store deployment processes.
- Relevant experience with cross-platform frameworks (e.g., React Native, Flutter) or Android development is beneficial.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and integration with backend services is beneficial.
- Experience in UI/UX best practices for mobile, including accessibility and responsive design, is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
- Interest or experience in maritime, logistics, or compliance-focused solutions is a plus.
