Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Engineer to support MES configuration, electronic batch record development, system integration, and manufacturing automation within a pharmaceutical or life sciences workplace. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Korber PAS-X, Rockwell FactoryTalk Batch, FactoryTalk View SE, Rockwell PLCs, and SQL.

The role focuses on digitizing paper-based manufacturing processes, configuring electronic batch records, integrating MES with automation systems, and ensuring reliable data exchange and compliance in regulated manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Author, configure, and maintain Master Batch Records (MBRs) and Electronic Batch Records (EBRs) to digitize manufacturing instructions and workflows.
- Configure MES workflows, recipes, equipment interactions, and production processes.
- Integrate MES platforms with PLCs, SCADA, and other manufacturing systems using OPC UA/DA, MQTT, and related communication protocols.
- Develop operator prompts, electronic signatures, formula-driven parameters, and in-process verification checks.
- Configure real-time alarms, exception handling, and backend logic to trigger system actions and operator notifications.
- Support MES configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and deployment activities.
- Develop and execute test scripts and support system verification and validation.
- Use SQL to query, review, and troubleshoot manufacturing data.




- Support system upgrades, change controls, issue resolution, and technical documentation.
- Follow applicable GMP/cGMP, data integrity, and electronic records requirements.
- Support integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and production support.

Required Technical Skills

- Korber PAS-X MES – MBR/EBR authoring and configuration.
- Rockwell FactoryTalk Batch – batch process configuration and execution.
- Rockwell FactoryTalk View SE – HMI/SCADA configuration.
- Rockwell PLCs – automation integration and troubleshooting.
- SQL – queries, data validation, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of OPC UA/DA, MQTT, and industrial communication protocols.
- Understanding of relational database management systems (RDBMS).

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent technical experience may be considered.
- Hands-on experience with MES configuration and manufacturing automation systems.
- Understanding of ISA-88 batch control architecture and ISA-95 enterprise-to-control system integration.
- Knowledge of electronic batch records, manufacturing workflows, and system interfaces.
- Robust troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with US-based teams while working remotely from India.Work Arrangement
