Role Description The MEP Engineer will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for building and industrial projects. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and validating MEP layouts, performing load calculations, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards, and coordinating with architects, structural engineers, and site teams to resolve design and execution issues.

The role involves regular site visits for inspection, troubleshooting, and verification of installations, as well as supporting project schedules and documentation. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, requiring close collaboration with internal teams, vendors,



and clients to deliver efficient and reliable building services solutions.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) engineering and Building Services, with the ability to design and review integrated building systems.
- Practical experience in MEP Coordination, including clash detection, multi-disciplinary drawing review, and alignment of MEP services with architectural and structural plans.
- Knowledge of Plumbing systems design and installation, including water supply, drainage, and fire protection, with familiarity in relevant codes and standards.
- Competence in Electrical Engineering related to building services, such as power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems.
- Proficiency in CAD/BIM tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) for MEP design and coordination.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, prepare reports, and maintain project documentation accurately.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively on-site in cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience in commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects is an advantage.
