About MyTalkIndia

MyTalkIndia is a chat-based emotional support and counselling platform, run as a CSR initiative of DB Corp (Dainik Bhaskar Group). We are looking for a Mental Health Counselling Intern to support users through live, text-based counselling sessions under close supervision.

Responsibilities

- Conduct live chat-based counselling sessions with users
- Respond with empathy, discretion and qualified conduct at all times
- Follow established counselling protocols and escalation procedures
- Support senior team members with content creation and blog writing

Qualifications

- Master’s degree in Psychology (required)
- Interest in supervised, hands-on counselling experience
- Good written communication skills

Training and supervision

- Ethical guidelines and foundational counselling skills
- Core process skills:



questioning, reflection of feelings, paraphrasing, emotional presence, session wrap-up
- Suicide risk and NSSI: risk assessment, safety planning, limits of chat-based support
- Supporting survivors of abuse; working with LGBTQ+ and minority populations
- Trauma-informed approaches and case conceptualization
- Mock sessions and supervised practice
