Job Summary

Pulse Medicare Hospital is looking for a skilled, dedicated, and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our laboratory team. The candidate will be responsible for performing laboratory investigations, handling diagnostic samples, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting to support effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities

- Collect, receive, label, and process blood, urine, and other clinical specimens.
- Perform routine laboratory investigations in hematology, clinical biochemistry, clinical pathology, and other relevant sections.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and analyzers.
- Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results through internal quality control procedures.
- Maintain proper documentation, laboratory registers, and patient records.
- Follow infection control practices, biosafety protocols, and biomedical waste management guidelines.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of reagents, samples, and laboratory consumables.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other laboratory staff for timely reporting of results.
- Identify and promptly escalate critical or abnormal test results as per hospital protocol.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization within the laboratory.




- Assist in inventory management and monitor reagent and consumable stock levels.

Qualifications
- DMLT / B.Sc. MLT or an equivalent relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
- Valid Kerala Paramedical Council registration, where applicable.
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment handling, quality control, and biosafety standards.
- Good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team.

Preferred Skills
- Experience in a hospital or diagnostic laboratory.
- Familiarity with automated laboratory analyzers.
- Basic computer skills and laboratory information system documentation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy, patient-focused healthcare environment.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
