Mechanical Inspection Engineer (QA/QC) CSWIP 3.1 Certified

DYC Global Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Mechanical Inspection Engineer (QA/QC) CSWIP 3.1 Certified to carry out mechanical, welding, dimensional, material and visual inspection activities for fabrication and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Carry out mechanical, welding, dimensional, material and visual inspections of fabricated components, equipment, storage tanks and structural assemblies as per approved drawings, specifications, ITPs and applicable codes/standards.
- Perform fit-up inspection, welding inspection and dimensional inspection including alignment, levelness, orientation, thickness, diameter, height and fabrication tolerances.
- Review and verify WPS, PQR and welder/welding operator qualification records and ensure welding activities comply with approved procedures and project requirements.
- Coordinate and review NDT activities including VT, PT/DPT, MT/MPI, UT and RT and verify NDT reports against applicable acceptance criteria.
- Conduct material inspection and verify MTCs, material grades, chemical/mechanical properties, heat numbers, plate identification and material traceability for CS, SS 316 and clad plates/components.
- Inspect heavy mechanical fabrication, storage tanks, process equipment, structural members, shells, nozzles, openings and fabricated assemblies.
- Verify compliance with applicable project specifications, ITPs, Quality Control Plans, EN 1090, ASME, API and other relevant fabrication standards/codes.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, dimensional reports, visual inspection reports, checklists, punch lists, observation reports, NCR-related records and final inspection dossiers.
- Identify fabrication and welding defects, deviations and non-conformities and coordinate with the fabrication/production team for corrective actions and follow-up until closure.
- Maintain weld identification,



weld maps, inspection status and complete inspection traceability throughout the fabrication process.
- Coordinate with client representatives, third-party inspectors, NDT personnel, fabrication teams and other project stakeholders for inspection activities and clearances.
- Ensure all inspection activities are performed in accordance with project quality requirements, approved procedures, safety requirements and applicable company policies.

Candidate Requirements:

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering OR Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Valid CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector Certification is mandatory.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant hands-on Mechanical QA/QC / Inspection experience in fabrication.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on Mechanical/Welding Inspection experience after obtaining CSWIP 3.1.
- Experience in heavy mechanical fabrication, storage tanks, large process equipment, structural fabrication or industrial equipment is preferred.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Heavy Engineering or similar industrial projects is preferred.
- Practical experience in welding inspection, fit-up inspection, dimensional inspection, material inspection and NDT coordination/review.
- Working knowledge of WPS/PQR, welder qualification, MTC review and material traceability.
- Knowledge of relevant standards/codes such as ASME Section IX, ASME Section V, ASME Section VIII Div. 1, ASME B31.3, API 650 and EN 1090, as applicable.
- Experience with CS, SS 316 and clad plates/components is preferred.
- NDT Level II certification in VT/PT/MT/UT/RT will be an added advantage.
- Positive working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel.
- Ability to prepare clear technical reports and professional emails.
- Good communication, coordination and documentation skills.
- Willingness to work at an active fabrication/project site and in rotational shifts.
- Immediate joiners / candidates with short notice period are preferred.
