We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Fitter (Conveyor Systems) to join our manufacturing and production team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end fabrication, precision assembly, and quality testing of industrial conveyor systems. You will transform raw engineering blueprints into fully functional, high-quality material handling machinery, ensuring structural integrity and precise mechanical alignment before dispatch.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

- Manufacturing & Assembly: Read and interpret complex mechanical engineering drawings, structural layouts, and welding blueprints to build and assemble conveyor structures from raw steel and components.
- Precision Fitting: Perform exact mechanical alignment, leveling, and fitting of core conveyor parts, including head/tail pulleys, drive rollers, idlers, gearboxes, industrial bearings, shafts, and couplings.
- Fabrication & Welding: Utilize workshop machinery, power tools, gas cutting torches,



and ARC/MIG welding equipment to fabricate, modify, and attach structural supports, chutes, skirts, brackets, and safety guards.
- Troubleshooting & Testing: Run post-assembly rotational tests to diagnose potential manufacturing defects, structural mismatches, or tracking issues (e.g., belt slippage, mistracking, noisy bearings). Conduct immediate root-cause corrections.
- Workshop Machine Operation: Safely operate heavy workshop tools such as radial drills, grinders, band saws, and shearing machines to prepare materials for assembly.
- Quality & Safety Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to engineering tolerances and workshop safety protocols, keeping the fabrication floor organized and hazard-free.
