Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Machine Shop Design Engineer with strong knowledge of stage drawing, machine shop layout planning, and fixture concept development. The ideal candidate should be proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD, with relevant experience in machining and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and develop stage drawings for machining operations.
- Plan and develop machine shop layouts for efficient workflow and space utilization.
- Develop fixture concepts to support machining operations and improve productivity.
- Create and modify 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to address design and process requirements.
- Support process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure drawings and design documents meet technical specifications and manufacturing requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in machine shop design or a similar manufacturing role.
- Strong knowledge of stage drawings, machining layouts, and fixture concepts.
- Mandatory proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Good understanding of machining processes and manufacturing requirements.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
