Role Description The Mecendizer for fabrics will manage the end-to-end merchandising process, acting as a key link between customers, production, and design teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating fabric development and sampling, preparing and following up on costings and quotations, and ensuring timely order processing from inquiry to shipment.

The role involves tracking production schedules, monitoring quality standards, maintaining accurate documentation,



and resolving order-related issues in collaboration with internal departments. The Mecendizer will also support client communication, visit the factory floor to align requirements with manufacturing capabilities, and contribute to market feedback for new fabric developments. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore.

Qualifications

- Experience in fabric merchandising or textile marketing, preferably in Jacquard or woven fabrics.
- Strong understanding of textile materials, weaving processes, fabric constructions, and quality parameters.
- Proficiency in order handling, sampling management, production follow-up, and shipment coordination.
- Ability to build and maintain customer relationships and communicate client requirements clearly to internal teams.
- Good skills in data handling, basic MS Office tools (Excel, Word), and documentation for orders and approvals.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and capability to work with cross-functional teams in a rapid-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Textile Technology, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant experience in the textile industry and familiarity with sustainability or certification standards will be an advantage.
