Manufacturing Head is responsible for leading and managing all manufacturing operations to achieve production targets, quality standards, cost objectives, safety requirements, and customer expectations. The role involves strategic planning, operational excellence, workforce management, process optimization, capacity enhancement, and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operations Management

- Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Develop and execute production plans aligned with business objectives.
- Monitor daily production performance and implement corrective actions to achieve targets.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, materials, and resources.
- Drive productivity improvement and manufacturing efficiency initiatives.

Quality Management
- Ensure adherence to quality management systems and customer quality requirements.
- Collaborate with Quality teams to reduce defects, rework, and customer complaints.
- Implement robust quality control and quality assurance processes.
- Drive a culture of "Right First Time" manufacturing.

Cost & Productivity Improvement
- Develop and implement strategies for cost reduction and operational excellence.
- Improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), throughput, and yield.
- Monitor manufacturing KPIs and drive continuous improvement programs.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives.

Safety, Health & Environment
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and statutory regulations.
- Promote a zero-accident safety culture.
- Conduct periodic safety audits and risk assessments.
- Ensure adherence to EHS standards across the facility.

Maintenance & Asset Management
- Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure high equipment availability.
- Drive preventive and predictive maintenance practices.




- Support new equipment installation, commissioning, and automation projects.

People Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop production managers, supervisors, and shop-floor teams.
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability and collaboration.
- Identify training and skill development needs.
- Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives.

Supply Chain Coordination
- Coordinate with Procurement, Planning, Logistics, and Stores teams.
- Ensure uninterrupted material availability for production.
- Optimize inventory levels and reduce waste.

Strategic & Business Leadership
- Participate in annual business planning and budgeting exercises.
- Support plant expansion, capacity enhancement, and automation initiatives.
- Drive digital transformation and Industry 4.0 practices where applicable.
- Provide regular performance reports to senior management.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- MBA/PGDM in Operations Management preferred.

Experience
- 20-25 years of manufacturing experience.
- Minimum 5-10 years in a leadership role managing large manufacturing operations.
- Experience in Automotive, Auto Components, Engineering, Heavy Fabrication, Metal Processing, or Industrial Manufacturing preferred.
