Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Manual QA Engineer to join our team in Ahmedabad. The role involves testing web and application-based software to identify defects, validate functionality, and ensure the overall quality of software releases.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in manual testing, a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, and the ability to collaborate effectively with developers, business analysts, project managers, and other team members. The candidate should also possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

- Develop and execute detailed manual test cases based on business and functional requirements.
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, and System Integration Testing (SIT).
- Conduct end-to-end testing to validate complete workflows across web and application-based software.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman to validate backend services.
- Conduct cross-browser and cross-platform testing to ensure compatibility.
- Identify, log, and track defects using tools such as Jira or Trello, with clear descriptions, screenshots, and supporting documentation.
- Re-test resolved defects and perform regression testing before releases.
- Collaborate closely with developers, project managers, business analysts, and technical leads to ensure timely and high-quality software delivery.
- Participate in requirement analysis and prepare effective test scenarios and test cases.
- Maintain test documentation, reports, and other QA artifacts.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate with stakeholders when required.

Required Skills

- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Hands-on experience in functional and regression testing.




- Experience writing clear and comprehensive test cases and test scenarios.
- Good understanding of the defect lifecycle and experience with bug-tracking tools.
- Basic experience with API testing; experience with Postman is preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Education: B.Tech, M Tech, BCA, MCA or relevant experience.

Experience: 2-5 years of experience in manual testing.

CTC: 5 LPA to 7 LPA
