Role & responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Manage procurement of raw materials, bought-out parts, consumables, and services.
- Negotiate prices, contracts, and commercial terms with suppliers.
- Ensure timely material availability to meet production schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with planning and stores teams.
- Develop alternate sources and implement cost reduction initiatives.
- Track supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with quality, production, logistics, and finance teams.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and automotive industry standards.
- Prepare procurement MIS reports, cost-saving reports, and supplier performance reviews.
