Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to lead our cold chain warehouse operations in Palwal. The incumbent will be responsible for managing end-to-end cold storage operations, inventory control, customer service delivery, facility management, temperature compliance, and workforce management while ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and profitability.

This role requires strong leadership capabilities to manage warehouse operations, refrigerated fleet activities, customer expectations, vendor relationships, and cross-functional coordination with Business Development, Finance, Admin, and Maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse & Cold Chain Management

- Strategically manage warehouse operations in compliance with organizational policies and operational goals.
- Oversee receiving, storage, dispatch, distribution, and maintenance operations.
- Ensure efficient utilization of warehouse space, chambers, and pallet positions.
- Maintain strict temperature compliance as per customer SLAs.
- Implement and enforce Good Warehouse Practices (GWP), SOPs, and safety standards.
- Ensure safe handling and storage of customer inventory.

Operations Management
- Lead daily warehouse and cold chain operations to ensure smooth execution.
- Manage customer TATs and SLAs with zero service disruption.
- Monitor operational performance and drive continuous process improvements.
- Optimize operational costs through effective manpower and resource planning.
- Manage refrigerated vehicle fleet operations for seamless logistics execution.

Inventory & Quality Management




- Ensure high inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits.
- Monitor inventory movement, reconciliation, and documentation.
- Maintain quality standards and technical compliance across operations.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize losses and pilferage.

Team Leadership & People Management
- Supervise, train, and develop warehouse personnel.
- Create manpower schedules and manage shift planning.
- Conduct performance reviews and productivity assessments.
- Drive employee engagement, capability building, and training initiatives.

Customer & Vendor Management
- Build and maintain solid customer relationships.
- Handle and resolve customer grievances effectively.
- Coordinate with manpower vendors, equipment suppliers, and service providers.
- Work closely with Business Development teams to support customer requirements and onboarding.

Facility & Technical Management
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Ensure smooth operation of refrigeration systems and warehouse infrastructure.
- Maintain hygiene, sanitation, safety, and security standards across the facility.
- Monitor energy consumption and implement cost-optimization initiatives.

Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare operational MIS, inventory reports, and customer performance reports.
- Provide timely operational data to Finance and Business Development teams.




- Analyze trends and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Educational Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline
- PGDM/Post Graduate qualification preferred

Experience
- 5-10 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, cold storage, supply chain, or temperature-controlled warehousing.
- Prior experience in cold chain operations will be highly preferred.
- Experience in team management and customer-facing operations is desirable.
