Manager -Fund Accounting & Investor Reporting

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Fund Accounting professional with strong exposure to Alternative Assets to lead fund accounting, investor reporting, administrator oversight and operational activities. The role will also involve team management, process improvement, controls, transformation initiatives and collaboration with Fund Administrators, Investor Relations and Group Finance teams.

Fund Accounting & Investor Reporting

- Lead and oversee monthly and quarterly financial, investor and regulatory reporting.
- Manage reporting across multiple investment strategies and asset classes.
- Support annual financial statement reviews and manage the audit process.
- Coordinate with Fund Administrators to ensure accurate and timely financial and investor reporting.
- Oversee fund cash and liquidity management, including bridge facilities, treasury positions and counterparty exposure.
- Review bank reconciliations, invoices and fund-related payments.
- Support capital calls and distributions, including shadow calculations, notices and ILPA templates.
- Monitor compliance with Fund LPAs and side-letter agreements.
- Review performance fee calculations and support responses to investor queries.
- Review investment valuations and related information for financial reporting.
- Support accounting assessments and documentation for complex fund matters.
- Ensure fund operations are aligned with relevant fund structures and governing documents.

Group Reporting

- Review/shadow management-fee calculations and related reporting.
- Lead AUM/FUM reporting to Group Finance.
- Coordinate ad-hoc reporting and data requirements from Group Finance.

Fund Administrator Oversight & Controls





- Monitor Fund Administrator performance against agreed SLAs and KPIs.
- Lead Fund Administrator assessments and feedback.
- Ensure transactions/deals are accurately captured in internal systems and maintain data integrity.
- Maintain strong process documentation, operational controls and governance.

People Management & COE Responsibilities

- Manage and provide guidance to a team of up to Fund Accountants.
- Support team training, development, performance reviews and regular 1:1 discussions.
- Lead process-efficiency and transformation initiatives within the India COE.
- Monitor operational metrics, SLAs, KPIs and management reporting.
- Ensure timely escalation of material delivery issues, risks or challenges.
- Drive operational risk management and risk-mitigation initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to policies, procedures and mandatory training requirements.
- Lead continuous-improvement projects across the Fund Accounting operating model.

Key Requirements

- 10+ years of relevant post-qualification experience in Fund Administration, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Real Estate, Private Credit Asset Management or Fund Accounting.
- Minimum 5 years of experience within Alternative Asset Management.
- Solid knowledge of private fund structures, including debt and/or equity strategies.
- Strong hands-on experience in Fund Accounting and Investor Reporting.
- Experience in capital calls, distributions, management/performance fees, financial reporting and fund valuations.
- Strong understanding of LPAs, side letters and fund reporting requirements.
- Experience managing/overseeing third-party Fund Administrators.
- Prior team-management experience.
- Advanced MS Excel, financial modelling and PowerPoint skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder-management capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables and work effectively within strict reporting deadlines.

Preferred Candidate Background Candidates with experience in Private Equity, Private Credit, Real estate, Alternative Investment Funds, Asset Management companies or leading Fund Administrators or Fund Controllers will be preferred.
