About the Company

Sunrise Group is a Singapore-headquartered international sporting goods distribution group with operations across multiple Asian markets. The Group represents globally recognised brands, including YONEX and MIKASA.

We are looking for a qualified and analytical Management Accountant to join our Chennai office and support the Group's management reporting, financial planning, pricing analysis and operational performance monitoring across its international subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities

1. Group Management Reporting

- Prepare monthly management reports and performance dashboards for Group companies.
- Analyse revenue, gross profit, operating expenses and profitability across countries and business divisions.
- Consolidate operational and financial KPIs to support Group management decision-making.
- Develop standardised reporting formats for all Group companies.

2. Supply Chain Management (SCM) Reporting

- Monitor purchasing, inventory, sales and supply chain performance.
- Analyse inventory turnover, ageing, slow-moving stock and stockholding costs.
- Track procurement costs, landed costs, logistics expenses and inventory efficiency.
- Prepare SCM performance reports highlighting cost optimisation opportunities.

3. Budgeting & Forecasting

- Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts for Group companies.
- Monitor actual performance against approved budgets.
- Analyse departmental, product category and country-level profitability.
- Support management in financial planning and cost control initiatives.

4. Pricing & Profitability Analysis

- Analyse product pricing, cost structures and gross profit margins.
- Evaluate pricing strategies across different markets and product categories.
- Monitor changes in purchase costs, foreign exchange rates, freight and other factors affecting profitability.
- Recommend pricing adjustments and margin improvement opportunities.

5. Variance Analysis & Cost Control

- Prepare monthly budget-versus-actual variance analysis.




- Identify and explain variances in revenue, gross profit, inventory costs and operating expenses.
- Analyse product-wise, category-wise and country-wise performance.
- Highlight key deviations and recommend corrective actions to management.

6. MIS & Performance Dashboards

- Develop and maintain Management Information System (MIS) reports.
- Prepare management dashboards covering financial and operational KPIs.
- Coordinate with finance, supply chain, sales and other departments across Group companies.
- Improve reporting accuracy, automation and efficiency.

Qualification & Experience

- Qualified Cost and Management Accountant (CMA ICMAI).
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in management accounting, budgeting, costing, MIS reporting or financial analysis.
- Strong understanding of supply chain costing, inventory management and pricing analysis.
- Proficiency in Advanced Excel and financial modelling.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
- Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial and operational data.
- Valuable communication skills and ability to coordinate with international teams.

Preferred Candidate Profile We are looking for a commercially oriented Management Accountant who can go beyond preparing financial reports to identify business performance gaps, analyse profitability and provide actionable recommendations to Group management.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable handling financial and operational data from multiple countries and working closely with the Singapore headquarters.
