Position

Reports into the Event Manager. Shift-based 24/7/365 coverage including evenings, weekends, late and overnight shifts at short notice — the role requires a high level of flexibility. For this role you must be able to work in our Mumbai office.

Live operations at Deltatre run continuously, supporting live sports and entertainment broadcasts for clients around the world. The Live Operations team is the operational layer that makes each event reach viewers without issues.

As a Live Operator, you will work alongside Live Operations Supervisors in a live production workplace to keep Live Streams running smoothly.

Responsibilities

- Perform video streaming operations during live events
- Hold quality control over operational output during your shift
- Manage two-way communication with the client if required.
- Handle operational escalations to internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent output quality
- Follow defined operational and process documentation accurately, raising issues with the Supervisor or Event Manager when something does not match what is on the page

Requirements

You can stay focused during live broadcasts where the timing is fixed and the audience is watching. You follow defined protocols, know when to escalate, and learn the tools as you go. You treat the small details — the right action at the right moment — as part of the work, not an afterthought.

Required

- Ability to read and understand Live sports event flows by way of MRO’s ( Master Run orders)
- Basic understanding of sports production terminology, including DA, comms, dirty feed, and international sound, with the ability to recognise and follow cues provided on the DA
- Remain focused on the live game, quickly identify issues,



switch promptly to the appropriate mitigation plan, and immediately alert the Live Operations Supervisor
- Execute clients expectation in terms or AV quality monitoring, Pre, Mid, Post slating and VOD clipping
- Hands-on experience with live online video streaming
- Fluent written and spoken English — able to explain issues credibly to Level II and III support teams
- Comfortable making decisions during live operations with the guidance available
- Able to review the provided documentation, self-educate, take ownership of responsibilities, and consistently go the extra mile when required
- Practical knowledge of the technologies used in live streaming operations, especially stream properties, frame size, bitrate, ABR, Transcoder renditions etc.

Valued

- Hands-on experience with Encoders
- Familiarity with Microsoft teams, confluence
- Previous experience in an operational role with computers
- Demonstrated familiarity with the protocols and systems used in this role, however acquired (degree-educated background welcome but not required)
- Genuine interest in sport — useful for context on the events being supported
