Linux Infrastructure Engineer-6+ years-Pune

Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Linux Infrastructure Engineer to manage, support, and enhance large-scale enterprise Linux/Unix infrastructure in a mission-critical financial services environment. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Red Hat Linux, Solaris, automation, configuration management, clustering, scripting, and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

- Build, maintain, and support large-scale Linux/Unix infrastructure across enterprise server environments.
- Manage and troubleshoot Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8/9) and Solaris operating systems, ensuring system stability, availability, and performance.
- Implement automation and configuration management solutions using Ansible, Puppet, RHN, Satellite, and related technologies.
- Support infrastructure projects involving clustering, storage and volume management, cloud platforms, and disaster recovery.
- Collaborate with global technology teams and business stakeholders to resolve incidents, service requests, vulnerabilities, and infrastructure issues while continuously improving operational processes.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, with 6+ years of experience supporting UNIX/Linux infrastructure in large-scale distributed computing environments.
- Robust hands-on experience with Red Hat Linux and Solaris, preferably in environments managing 2,000+ systems.
- Knowledge of Veritas Cluster Server (VCS), Veritas Volume Manager (VxVM), LVM, and clustering technologies such as RHCS.
- Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible,



Puppet, Tanium, RHN, and Satellite, along with scripting skills in Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), Terraform, Kubernetes/AKS, YAML/JSON, monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK), and enterprise backup solutions is desirable.
