Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior ETL Testing Engineer to lead our data quality and validation initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and performance of complex data pipelines. You will design comprehensive test strategies that span from source systems to contemporary cloud data warehouses, focusing on automated validation of transformation logic and data governance standards.

The ideal candidate is an expert in SQL and scripting, capable of building robust automation frameworks to safeguard our enterprise data assets.

Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end data validation test plans, mapping documents, and complex test cases for enterprise data lifecycles. ETL & Logic Validation: Conduct thorough validation of data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. Verify that business rules and transformation logic are accurately implemented per specifications.

Source-to-Target Auditing: Perform rigorous source-to-target data validation across heterogeneous systems, including Data Lakes and Cloud Data Warehouses.

Automation Engineering: Develop and maintain automated data testing frameworks using Python, SQL, and Shell scripting.



Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality monitoring. Data Integrity & Quality: Perform detailed data reconciliation and root-cause analysis to identify inconsistencies, mismatches, and quality gaps. Ensure compliance with data governance, lineage, and metadata management standards.

Architecture Literacy: Apply deep understanding of data modeling concepts (Dimensional modeling, Star/Snowflake schemas) to validate Fact and Dimension tables effectively. BI & Report Testing: Validate the accuracy of downstream reporting and dashboards by verifying data points in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.

Required Technical Skills: SQL Mastery: Expert-level SQL skills for data profiling, complex joins, and large-scale data reconciliation.

ETL Testing Tools: Proficiency in modern data platforms such as Snowflake or other cloud-based warehouse solutions.

Scripting: Strong hands-on experience with Python or Shell scripting for building automated test suites.

Data Modeling: Solid grasp of Relational and Dimensional data modeling principles.
