Job Title: Software Testing Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Software Testing Engineer with extensive experience in testing REST/SOAP APIs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through rigorous testing methodologies. You will work closely with development teams to identify issues and improve the overall user experience.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for REST/SOAP APIs.
- Perform functional, regression, and performance testing to ensure software quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide feedback on software design.
- Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools.
- Participate in code reviews and provide input on testability and quality.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.




- Mentor junior testers and provide guidance on best practices.

Mandatory Skills

- Strong knowledge of REST and SOAP API testing.
- Proficiency in testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on API testing.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
