Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and driven Senior ServiceNow ITOM Developer with 3 to 5 years of experience to join our team. In this role, you will be the core technical driver responsible for resolving discovery failures, fixing CMDB data issues, and improving overall infrastructure visibility. This role is ideal for a hands-on developer who excels at deep-dive technical remediation, writing background scripts, configuring IRE rules, and aligning the platform with CSDM best practices to establish a healthy, reliable configuration baseline.

Core Responsibilities

CMDB Cleanup & Deduplication: Identify, analyze, and permanently resolve duplicate Configuration Item (CI) records using the Duplicate Remediator and custom JavaScript background scripts.

IRE & Reconciliation Logic: Configure and debug Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE) rules to stabilize data streams and eliminate data "flapping" from multiple integration sources.

Staleness & Lifecycle Tracking: Build and manage automated data-retention schedules, archival paths, and deletion rules for stale CIs lacking active Discovery updates for 60–90+ days.

Discovery Schedule Management: Configure, schedule,



and optimize infrastructure Discovery runs across hybrid cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and on-premises systems.

Pattern & Credential Fixes: Troubleshoot failed credentials (SNMP, SSH, WMI) and modify Discovery classification patterns to close critical infrastructure data gaps.

Event & Alert Configuration: Audit, write, and refine Event Rules and Alert Management Rules to filter monitoring noise and prevent alert storms in the console.

Health Dashboarding: Build, configure, and monitor CMDB Health Dashboards to systematically report on platform Completeness, Compliance, and Correctness.

Job Requirements

Technical Skills

3–5 years of dedicated, hands-on experience developing and configuring ServiceNow ITOM modules (specifically CMDB, Discovery, and Event Management).

Solid programming proficiency in JavaScript (GlideScript, Script Includes, Business Rules) and a working knowledge of Regular Expressions (Regex) or basic PowerShell/Shell scripting.

Robust foundational understanding of the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) framework.

Familiarity with foundational ITIL processes, particularly Configuration Management, Change, and Incident Management.
