Job Overview
We are looking for a Landing Page Strategist who can research businesses, understand customer intent, and independently plan landing pages designed to improve clarity, build trust, and encourage conversions.
You will study each client's business, products or services, target audience, competitors, and campaign objectives before planning the landing page structure and user journey. Your job is to determine what information the page should communicate, how the content should be organized, what questions or objections it must address, and which trust elements and calls-to-action are needed to support conversions.
You will also prepare clear, well-structured landing page plans for internal review and client approval before design or development begins.
Key: This is a strategy and planning role, not a website design or development role. We are looking for someone who can think independently, conduct meaningful research, and turn business and customer insights into a practical, conversion-focused page plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Research client businesses, products, services, target audiences, and customer needs.
- Understand customer intent, buying motivations, common objections, and decision-making factors.
- Analyze competitors to identify useful insights, content gaps, and opportunities to differentiate the landing page.
- Understand campaign objectives and how traffic from Google Ads or other marketing channels connects with the landing page.
- Plan complete landing page structures, including section order, content hierarchy, and user journey.
- Determine what information, benefits, proof points, trust signals, FAQs, offers, and calls-to-action each page requires.
- Develop a logical content flow that helps visitors understand the offer and take the intended action.
- Apply UX principles and conversion rate optimization (CRO) thinking when planning page experiences.
- Prepare clear landing page strategy documents, wireframe-level concepts,
or structured page plans for internal review and client approval, as appropriate to the project.
- Explain and present landing page recommendations to stakeholders or clients and incorporate feedback where needed.
- Identify potential friction points, missing information, confusing messaging, and other barriers to conversion.
- Coordinate with designers and developers after the landing page plan is approved.
- Review completed pages to check whether the structure, content flow, and user journey align with the approved strategy and campaign objectives.
Experience and Qualifications Candidates with relevant experience in any of the following areas are encouraged to apply:
- Landing page strategy or planning
- Conversion rate optimization (CRO)
- UX strategy or user experience planning
- Content strategy and information architecture
- Digital marketing or performance marketing
- Customer journey mapping or user research
- Conversion-focused website or campaign planning
A specific previous job title is not mandatory. Strong practical skills, independent thinking, and the ability to produce high-quality landing page plans are more important than having held a particular role. Who Should Apply?
You may be a good fit for this role if you can:
- Understand an unfamiliar business, product, or service and identify what matters to its target audience.
- Research customer intent, competitors, user expectations, and conversion barriers.
- Independently plan a complete landing page, from the initial message through the final call-to-action.
- Decide which sections and information are necessary and arrange them in a clear, persuasive sequence.
- Identify the proof,
benefits, trust elements, and answers to customer objections needed to support a conversion.
- Connect Google Ads campaign intent with landing page messaging and user expectations.
- Turn research and ideas into structured, professional page plans that others can review and implement.
- Explain your reasoning and communicate recommendations clearly to clients or internal teams.
- Apply UX and CRO principles rather than simply copying competitor pages or following generic templates.
What This Role Is Not This is primarily a landing page strategy, UX planning, and conversion optimization role.
You will not be hired primarily to build websites or implement designs in code. The main focus is researching the business and its audience, developing the page strategy, structuring the content, planning the user journey, and preparing the page plan for approval and implementation.
