About the Role
We are looking for a research-driven Landing Page Strategist who can understand a client's business, identify customer needs, and independently plan high-converting landing pages based on campaign objectives.
You will research the client's product or service, target audience, competitors, customer intent, and objections before developing a complete landing page strategy for client approval.
Your responsibility is to decide what the page should communicate, which sections it needs, how the content should flow, and what will motivate visitors to take action.
This is a strategy, research, and content planning role—not a website design, UI/UX design, or web development position.
You will prepare a structured Google Doc explaining the recommended landing page journey, content hierarchy, messaging, calls to action, trust elements, and the reasoning behind your decisions. Once the client approves the strategy, the page will be created using AI design tools.
Key Responsibilities1. Business, Audience & Market Research
- Understand the client's business model, product or service, value proposition, and campaign objectives.
- Research the target audience, customer intent, pain points, motivations, and common objections.
- Analyze competitors and relevant market positioning to identify messaging opportunities.
- Understand what visitors need to know before they feel confident taking action.
- Identify gaps in the available business information and determine what needs clarification from the client.
1. Landing Page Strategy & Conversion Planning
- Independently plan the complete landing page journey, from the first impression to the final conversion action.
- Decide the section structure, content sequence, and information hierarchy based on the campaign goal.
- Determine what visitors should see first, what information they need next, and how each section supports conversion.
- Develop the messaging flow, calls to action (CTAs), and trust-building elements.
- Address customer questions, objections, and concerns at the appropriate points in the page journey.
- Define the purpose and required content of every section without relying on ready-made layouts, predefined section lists, or design references.
- Justify strategic decisions using customer intent, business objectives, and conversion principles.
1. Landing Page Content Structuring
- Define what each section should communicate and what information it needs.
- Develop the direction for headlines, subheadings, supporting copy, benefits, offers, and calls to action.
- Structure product or service information so visitors can understand its value quickly.
- Identify the proof points, testimonials, case studies, credentials,
or other trust elements needed to support the conversion goal.
- Ensure the page communicates a clear, consistent message throughout the visitor journey.
- Provide content direction that can be translated into a landing page using AI design tools after approval.
1. Client Questions & Information Gathering
- Identify missing information that could affect the quality of the landing page strategy.
- Prepare specific, relevant questions to gather business details, customer insights, proof points, offers, and campaign requirements.
- Clarify ambiguous client inputs rather than making unsupported assumptions.
- Organize the information required to finalize the page strategy.
- Explain strategic recommendations clearly and professionally to clients.
1. Strategy Documentation & Client Approval
- Prepare a structured Google Doc for client review and approval before any design work begins.
- Document the business context, campaign objective, product or service, and primary conversion goal.
- Define the target audience, customer intent, pain points, and objections.
- Present the recommended landing page journey and section-by-section structure.
- Explain the purpose, content requirements, and information hierarchy of each section.
- Document the messaging direction, CTA strategy, and trust and credibility elements.
- List missing information and questions requiring client input.
- Explain the reasoning behind the recommended structure and how it supports the campaign objective.
- Revise the strategy based on client feedback and secure approval before the page moves into production.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Ability to understand business offerings, customer needs, and marketing campaign objectives.
- Understanding of landing page strategy, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and customer journeys.
- Strong content structuring, copywriting, and information hierarchy skills.
- Ability to plan a complete landing page independently without relying on existing templates or predefined layouts.
- Understanding of customer psychology, buying intent, objections, and conversion triggers.
- Ability to explain and defend strategic decisions using clear reasoning.
- Strong written communication and client presentation skills.
- Ability to identify information gaps and ask precise, relevant questions.
- Proficiency in Google Docs and structured documentation.
- Familiarity with AI-powered landing page creation and design tools, or the ability to learn them quickly.
Experience in landing page strategy, conversion optimization, digital marketing strategy, content strategy, performance marketing, or direct-response copywriting is an advantage. Important: What This Role Is Not
This position is not primarily for:
- Website designers or web developers who focus on execution rather than strategy.
- UI/UX designers who depend on wireframes, design references, or predefined layouts.
- Candidates who simply arrange standard landing page sections without understanding the business or campaign goal.
- Copywriters who write isolated headlines or paragraphs without planning the complete visitor journey.
- Candidates who wait for clients to provide all the content, section ideas, and page structure.
We need someone who can independently think through the problem, research the business, develop a conversion-focused strategy, and explain why the recommended approach makes sense. What Success Looks Like
- A well-researched understanding of the client's business and target audience.
- A logical landing page journey aligned with the campaign objective.
- A clear section-by-section content plan with strong messaging and CTA logic.
- Relevant trust elements and customer objections addressed in the right places.
- Thoughtful client questions that fill significant information gaps.
- A clear, professional strategy document that clients can review and approve.
- Minimal dependence on predefined templates or constant strategic direction.
The main measure of success is the quality of the landing page strategy and the reasoning behind it—not the visual design of the final page. Who Should Apply?
This role is ideal for candidates with experience or strong skills in landing page strategy, conversion rate optimization, digital marketing, content strategy, performance marketing, or direct-response copywriting.
If you can research a business, understand its customers, map out a complete conversion journey, structure the content, and confidently explain your decisions to a client, we encourage you to apply.
Apply now to help transform business and campaign objectives into clear, research-backed landing page strategies that are ready for client approval and AI-assisted production.
