The Role -

Can you take a collection of raw footage and turn it into a story people actually want to watch?

We’re looking for a Video Editor who enjoys storytelling, experimenting with editing styles, and bringing creative ideas to life through video. Someone who understands that editing isn’t just about cutting clips, adding transitions, or syncing footage to trending music. It’s about understanding the story, the audience, the pacing, and the purpose behind every frame.

You’ll work on a mix of social media reels, brand films, product videos, promotional campaigns, lifestyle content, and other digital video projects. Some days, you might be editing a premium jewellery campaign. Other days, you could be working on a founder-led video, a product showcase, a lifestyle reel, or experimenting with an entirely different storytelling approach. We’re looking for someone who can bring creativity, technical expertise, and attention to detail to every project.

This is a full-time, Bengaluru-based hybrid position. You’ll work from home on designated days and collaborate with the team in person at our office as required. This is not a completely remote position.

What You’ll Be Working On -

1. Social Media & Digital Video Content

- Edit engaging Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, promotional videos, and other social media content.
- Create product-focused, lifestyle, informational, and storytelling-based videos.
- Edit brand campaigns, advertisements, and promotional content for digital platforms.
- Adapt videos to different formats, aspect ratios, and platform requirements.
- Maintain consistency in editing styles, visual identity, and overall content quality.

2. Video Editing & Post-Production

- Transform raw footage into polished, engaging, and professionally edited videos.
- Work with pacing, transitions, sequencing, music, and visual storytelling.
- Perform colour correction, colour grading, audio balancing, and sound design.
- Incorporate typography, captions, motion graphics, and visual effects where required.
- Ensure clean cuts, smooth transitions, accurate synchronisation, and high-quality final exports.
- Organise project files, footage, assets, and editable timelines for future revisions.

3. Creative Thinking & Storytelling





- Understand creative briefs and translate concepts into engaging video narratives.
- Research editing references, storytelling techniques, trends, and creative approaches.
- Experiment with different editing styles while maintaining brand consistency.
- Understand the importance of hooks, storytelling structure, pacing, and audience retention.
- Contribute creative ideas that improve the overall quality and effectiveness of videos.
- Incorporate feedback thoughtfully and refine edits without compromising creative quality.

4. Motion Graphics & Visual Communication

- Create engaging text animations, titles, subtitles, and basic motion graphics.
- Apply typography, composition, colour, and visual hierarchy principles to video content.
- Integrate graphics, product visuals, and other design elements into video edits.
- Use motion and visual effects purposefully to enhance storytelling rather than simply adding decoration.

5. Collaboration & Creative Workflow

- Collaborate with the founders, content team, designers, and other video editors.
- Participate in creative discussions, brainstorming sessions, and video reviews.
- Manage multiple editing projects and prioritise work according to deadlines.
- Maintain organised project files, editable source files, and final exports.
- Communicate progress, requirements, and potential delays proactively.
- Take responsibility for the quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of assigned projects.

What We’re Looking For -

Essential Skills:

- Strong understanding of video editing fundamentals and visual storytelling.
- Good sense of pacing, rhythm, sequencing, and audience engagement.
- Confidence in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or other professional editing software.
- Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects or equivalent motion graphics tools.
- Understanding of colour correction, colour grading, audio editing, and sound design.
- Good typography skills and an understanding of visual composition.
- Ability to develop creative editing approaches rather than simply replicate references.
- Experience editing social media content, promotional videos, or brand-related content.
- Ability to understand briefs and execute edits independently.
- Good communication, time management, and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to learn, experiment, and continuously improve.

Additional Skills That Would Be Great:

- Advanced motion graphics and animation.
- Product video editing and commercial advertisements.
- Experience editing lifestyle, fashion, jewellery, or luxury brand content.
- Advanced colour grading and sound design.
- Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Basic understanding of cinematography, lighting, and camera fundamentals.
- Experience with AI-assisted editing and creative tools.
- Experience working with creative agencies or multiple brands.





You don’t need to be an expert in every tool. We’re more interested in how you think, how you approach storytelling, and the quality of work you produce. Your Portfolio Matters -

A portfolio or showreel is mandatory for this position.

This position follows a hybrid working arrangement based in Bengaluru.

Your work will involve a combination of:

Work From Home:

You’ll be able to work remotely on designated days, focusing on video editing, creative research, revisions, and other assigned responsibilities.

Work From Office:

You’ll be expected to work from our Bengaluru office on scheduled days and whenever required for creative discussions, team collaboration, reviews, training, or project requirements.

Team Collaboration:

You’ll work closely with the founders and creative team through our project management and communication platforms.

The exact office and work-from-home schedule will be communicated during the hiring process.

Significant Location Requirement:

Applicants must currently be based in Bengaluru and be able to commute to our office in Kalyan Nagar when required.

This is not a fully remote, freelance, or work-from-anywhere opportunity.
