Junior Vendor Development Engineer

Department: Vendor Development / Supply Chain

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering, DME/DAE

Experience: 2–5 years, preferably in manufacturing, automotive, engineering, or casting industries.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and develop vendors for ferrous castings, machined components, heat treatment, and surface protection processes.
- Support vendor evaluation based on technical capability, quality, capacity, delivery, and cost.
- Interrupt required engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances, material grades, and process requirements with suppliers.
- Coordinate with vendors for new component development, samples, trials, and production readiness.
- Monitor supplier quality, delivery performance, and development timelines(supplier rating).
- Conduct/support supplier process audits and technical assessments.
- Work closely with Quality, Engineering, Production, and Purchase teams to resolve supplier-related technical issues.
- Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for supplier quality issues.
- Follow up with suppliers for process improvements, cost reduction, quality improvement, and timely delivery.





Mandatory Technical Knowledge

- Good knowledge of Ferrous Casting processes.
- Understanding of casting defects, inspection requirements, and foundry processes.
- Knowledge of Heat Treatment processes and their impact on material properties.
- Knowledge of Special Processes for Surface Protection, such as plating, coating, painting, phosphating, galvanizing, or other corrosion-protection treatments.
- Working knowledge of Machining processes, including CNC machining, turning, milling, drilling, and grinding.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings, GD&T;, tolerances, and material specifications.
- Basic knowledge of supplier quality tools, RCA, 8D, CAPA, PPAP/APQP is preferred.

Pay: ₹350,000.00 - ₹450,000.00 per year
