We are looking for a Junior Structural Engineer to join our Structural Engineering team at S&O; Maritime Services Pvt. Ltd. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the design, analysis, detailing, and technical documentation of marine and offshore structural systems.

The role involves working closely with senior structural engineers, naval architects, project engineers, fabrication teams, and other technical departments to develop safe, practical, and cost-effective structural solutions. The selected candidate will assist in preparing engineering drawings, performing structural calculations, reviewing technical documents, and supporting ongoing marine projects.

The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in structural engineering principles, good knowledge of engineering drawings, and an interest in developing a career in the marine, shipbuilding, offshore, and structural engineering industry.

EXPERIENCE

1–3 Years of Relevant Experience

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist in the design, analysis, and detailing of marine and offshore structural components.
- Prepare and review structural drawings, fabrication drawings, and engineering documentation.
- Perform structural calculations and basic engineering analysis under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Assist in the design and modification of ship structures, offshore structures, platforms, and marine components.
- Coordinate with the design, fabrication, production, and project teams to ensure engineering requirements are met.
- Review drawings and technical documents for accuracy, quality,



and compliance with project specifications.
- Support preparation of material take-offs, bills of materials (BOM), and technical reports.
- Assist with site/fabrication inspections and resolve technical issues when required.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable marine engineering standards, codes, and client requirements.
- Participate in design revisions, technical discussions, and project meetings.
- Maintain proper records of engineering drawings, calculations, revisions, and project documentation.
- Support senior engineers in delivering projects within quality, schedule, and safety requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

Educational Qualification

- B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
- M.Tech / M.E. in Structural Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Naval Architecture, Computer Aided Structural Engineering or a related field is preferred.

Experience
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in structural engineering, marine/offshore engineering, shipbuilding, fabrication, or related field.

Technical Skills
- Good knowledge of structural design and analysis principles.
- Ability to read and understand engineering and fabrication drawings.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.
- Knowledge of structural analysis/design software such as STAAD.Pro, ANSYS,



or equivalent will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with marine/offshore structural design, steel structures, welding and fabrication is an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of relevant marine standards, classification requirements, and structural codes is preferred.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and engineering documentation.
