Role Description This full-time, in office Junior Design Engineer (Civil) role is based in Bhubaneswar.

The Junior Design

Engineer will support the development of architectural and structural designs, preparing drawings, floor plans, and elevation details using relevant design tools and CAD software. The role involves assisting in budgetary estimation, construction supervision, and optimization planning, ensuring designs are practical, cost-efficient, and aligned with client requirements and local regulations. The engineer will collaborate with senior engineers, contractors, and site teams to translate design concepts into executable plans,



resolve technical issues, and maintain documentation. Day-to-day responsibilities also include participating in site visits, collecting and analyzing project data, and contributing to quality assurance and safety compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Design Engineering and Civil Engineering principles, with the ability to apply them to structural and architectural projects.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating 2D/3D drawings, layouts, and elevation plans.
- Basic understanding of related engineering domains such as Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering to coordinate multidisciplinary design aspects.
- Skills in Product Design or component-level detailing that support innovative and practical construction solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and safety practices applicable to civil construction projects.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts, with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams, contractors, and clients.
- Willingness to work on-site, conduct field inspections, and adapt to dynamic project requirements.
- Familiarity with project management concepts, including milestone tracking, cost optimization, and time scheduling, is an advantage.
