Job Summary

Rexnord Electronics and Control Limited is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Engineer – Local to manage local procurement activities, coordinate with vendors, negotiate prices, and ensure timely availability of materials as per company requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle local purchasing and procurement of engineering materials, components, spares, and other required items.
- Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with local suppliers and vendors.
- Source quotations from vendors and compare prices, quality, delivery timelines, and payment terms.
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive prices and favorable commercial terms.
- Prepare and process purchase orders as per approved requirements.
- Coordinate with internal departments, including Production, Stores, Quality, and Accounts, for material requirements and delivery schedules.
- Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Monitor pending purchase orders and resolve supply-related issues.
- Verify supplier invoices, delivery challans, and other relevant purchase documents.




- Maintain purchase records, vendor databases, and procurement reports.
- Ensure purchased materials meet the required specifications, quality standards, and delivery schedules.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in local purchasing or procurement, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering company.
- Good knowledge of local vendor development and procurement processes.
- Solid negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel, MS Office, and ERP/software-based purchasing systems.
- Ability to manage multiple purchase requirements and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of engineering components and industrial materials will be an added advantage.
