About the Role

We are looking for a Java Application Support Engineer with strong experience in Java development and application support . The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience troubleshooting production issues, analyzing application problems, resolving technical incidents, and supporting Java-based applications.

The candidate will work closely with development, QA, and other technical teams to identify and resolve issues and ensure the smooth functioning of applications during the US business hours .

Key Responsibilities

- Provide application and technical support for Java-based applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, bugs, and production incidents.
- Analyze application logs and identify the root cause of issues.
- Work with development and QA teams to investigate and resolve technical problems.
- Monitor application performance and identify potential issues.
- Handle support tickets and ensure timely resolution of reported issues.
- Perform debugging and basic code-level analysis in Java.
- Support application deployments, releases, and production fixes.
- Coordinate with US-based clients/teams during the assigned shift.
- Document issues, resolutions, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Escalate complex issues to the appropriate technical team when required.
- Follow incident management and support processes.

Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience in Java development and/or Java application support .
- Strong knowledge of Core Java .




- Experience troubleshooting Java-based applications.
- Good understanding of SQL and databases .
- Experience working with application logs and debugging tools.
- Knowledge of REST APIs and web services .
- Understanding of HTTP, API requests/responses, and basic networking concepts .
- Experience with Git and basic deployment processes.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with technical teams.

Good to Have
- Experience with Spring / Spring Boot .
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix commands .
- Experience with application monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure .
- Experience working in a production support or L2/L3 support environment.
- Experience working with international/US clients.

Shift Requirement The candidate must be comfortable working in the 5:00 PM to 12:30 AM IST shift to provide support during US business hours.
