IT Support Engineer

Location: Muscat, Oman

Salary: OMR 200–500 per month (based on experience and technical skills)

Experience Required: 2–6 Years

GCC Experience: Preferred

Driving License: Valid driving license from any GCC country is mandatory

We are looking for a skilled and experienced IT Support Engineer to join our team in Muscat, Oman. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, maintaining IT infrastructure, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, networks, and other IT equipment. Candidates with relevant GCC experience and a valid driving license from any GCC country are preferred and required, respectively, as specified below.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide technical support to end users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve operating system, application, and connectivity problems.
- Maintain LAN/WAN networks, Wi-Fi connections, routers, switches, and basic network infrastructure.
- Install, configure, and update operating systems, software applications, antivirus programs, and security tools.
- Manage user accounts, email configuration, access permissions, and password-related issues.
- Monitor system performance and ensure the reliability and security of IT infrastructure.
- Perform routine maintenance, system updates, data backups, and basic troubleshooting.
- Maintain IT inventory, technical documentation, and records of support requests.




- Provide in office technical support when required.

Requirements and Qualifications
- 2–6 years of relevant experience in IT support, technical support, or a similar role.
- GCC experience is preferred.
- A valid driving license issued by any GCC country is mandatory.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software installation, and troubleshooting.
- Practical experience with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, and common IT support tools.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, routers, and switches.
- Familiarity with antivirus software, system security, backups, and user account management.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple technical support tasks efficiently.
- Willingness to travel to different sites for IT support when required.
