About the Role

Kalky Interior is looking for an experienced Interior Designer with strong technical knowledge of residential interiors, working drawings, furniture detailing, and site execution.

The candidate should be capable of independently converting client requirements and approved designs into accurate, coordinated, execution-ready drawings.

Key Responsibilities

1. Interior Design & Working Drawings

- Develop functional residential interior designs and dimensioned furniture layouts.
- Prepare detailed furniture drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, joinery, hardware, and material specifications.
- Prepare electrical layouts, switchboard positions, lighting plans, and power-point details.
- Prepare false ceiling layouts (RCP), ceiling sections, levels, and lighting coordination drawings.
- Prepare plumbing layouts and coordinate kitchen, bathroom, and utility services.
- Ensure coordination between furniture, electrical, ceiling, plumbing, and civil drawings.

2. Client Coordination & Documentation

- Listen carefully to client requirements and accurately interpret design instructions.
- Prepare clear Minutes of Meeting (MOM) documenting discussions, decisions, revisions, and pending approvals.
- Maintain organized project documentation and updated drawing records.

3. Technical Detailing & Execution

- Prepare accurate, dimensioned,



and site-executable working drawings.
- Follow standardized CAD layering, annotations, drawing numbering, and revision-control procedures.
- Coordinate with site supervisors, project managers, vendors, and execution teams.
- Verify site measurements, identify drawing conflicts, and resolve execution-related technical issues.

Mandatory Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in residential interior design.
- B.Des, B.Arch, or 3-Year Diploma in Interior Design from a recognized institution.
- Must have worked in a professional interior design or design-and-build company with established working drawing standards, structured technical detailing, and documentation systems.
- Solid proficiency in AutoCAD and preparation of detailed execution drawings.
- Good knowledge of furniture construction, joinery, plywood, laminates, hardware, finishes, and installation methods.
- Understanding of electrical, ceiling, and plumbing coordination.
- Strong listening, communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage drawing revisions, deadlines, and technical coordination independently.

Preferred: Knowledge of SketchUp, 3D visualization software, and turnkey residential interior execution.

Selection Criteria





Candidates must demonstrate practical working drawing expertise, not just conceptual design or 3D visualization skills.

A portfolio containing actual residential working drawings is mandatory. Shortlisted candidates may undergo a practical AutoCAD and technical detailing assessment.
