Job Summary:

Active Edu Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an Instructional Design & Content Development Specialist to join our Online Learning & Course Development team.

The candidate will be responsible for developing academically sound, engaging and practical online learning content from course concept to final LMS-ready learning material.

The role combines Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, Content Writing, Research, Assessment Development and AI-enabled content development.

We are looking for someone who can independently transform a subject/topic into a complete and structured online learning experience.

Key ResponsibilitiesCourse & Curriculum Development:

- Develop course structures, modules, units and lessons.
- Define course objectives, learning outcomes, target audience, prerequisites and level.
- Design logical learner journeys and lesson progression.
- Develop professional certificate, diploma and online learning programmes.
- Ensure consistency across courses and programmes.

Instructional Design:

- Apply instructional design principles to online and self-paced learning.
- Create engaging lesson flows and learner-friendly content.
- Develop examples, case studies, scenarios, activities and practical exercises.
- Align learning objectives, content, activities and assessments.
- Design learning experiences suitable for adult and professional learners.

Content Development:

- Develop complete course content independently.
- Create lesson notes, PPTs, learner guides, e-books and digital learning materials.
- Develop worksheets, handouts, activities, case studies and practical exercises.
- Prepare summaries, revision materials and instructor/facilitator notes.
- Convert complex concepts into clear and easy-to-understand learning content.

Research & Academic Content:

- Conduct research using reliable academic, professional and industry sources.
- Refer to books, journals, research papers, industry reports, standards and credible online resources.
- Analyse and synthesise information into structured learning content.
- Verify facts, concepts, statistics and examples before publishing.
- Maintain references and source records.
- Ensure originality and avoid plagiarism.

Assessment & Question Bank Development:

- Develop MCQs, multiple-response questions, true/false,



scenario-based and application-based questions.
- Create case-study based assessments, assignments and projects.
- Prepare answer keys and explanations.
- Ensure questions are aligned with learning outcomes.
- Avoid ambiguity, repetition and purely recall-based assessments where application is required.

AI-Enabled Content Development:

- Use AI and Generative AI tools for research, content development and productivity.
- Use AI for course outlines, content transformation, summarisation and question generation.
- Develop scenarios, activities, presentations and learning resources using AI where appropriate.
- Use AI for editing, proofreading and workflow automation.
- Create effective prompts and repeatable AI-assisted workflows.
- Fact-check AI-generated content and identify hallucinations or inaccuracies.
- Use AI responsibly while maintaining originality, academic quality, copyright awareness and professional judgment.

Multimedia & Learning Content:

- Prepare video, presenter and voiceover scripts.
- Develop storyboards and multimedia briefs.
- Collaborate with the Course Production/Multimedia team.
- Determine when content is best delivered through text, PPT, video, animation, demonstration, case study or interactive activity.
- Work closely with the LMS team to ensure content is ready for online delivery.

Quality Assurance :

- Review content for accuracy, relevance, clarity and learner suitability.
- Ensure appropriate sequencing and academic depth.
- Check grammar, language, consistency and formatting.
- Ensure alignment between learning outcomes, content, activities and assessments.
- Incorporate feedback from SMEs, academic teams and internal QA teams.
