Biotastic Health Systems
Chennai
Service and Installation Supervisor
Location: Chetpet, Chennai, Tamil Nadu (with travel) | Full-Time, On-site
About Biotastic Health Systems
Biotastic Health Systems is India's premium recovery engineering company. We design and sell premium Ice Baths, Hybrid Infrared Saunas, Red-Light Therapy products, and hyperbaric chambers, purpose-built for high-performance individuals, luxury hotels, gyms, spas, and skilled sports teams across India.
We are science-backed, protocol-first, and uncompromisingly premium. We sell and install ourselves, which means installation and service are not support functions here. They are the moment our clients experience the Biotastic standard first-hand.
Job Responsibilities The Installation & Service Supervisor is the single point of on-site authority for every Biotastic installation and the owner of every service ticket. You will take each job from site survey through installation, commissioning, service, and repair, while building the technician and vendor network that lets us deliver a safe, consistent, and premium experience to clients in Chennai and beyond.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Site Surveys & Measurements
- Visit client sites — homes, hotels, gyms, and spas — to assess installation feasibility.
- Take or assist technicians in taking accurate measurements and photograph the full space.
- Document electrical, plumbing, and structural constraints at every site.
- Submit a standardised survey report (photos + measurements + notes) within 24 hours of each visit.
2. Site Visit Execution & Coordination
- Plan and route all field visits — surveys, installations, and service calls — into an efficient daily and weekly schedule.
- Share visit windows and ETAs with clients and communicate any delay proactively.
- Close every visit the same day with a signed installation or service report.
- Track visit costs — travel, labour, and material — against approved budgets.
3. Standard Installation Execution
- Own end-to-end delivery of all catalogue products — ice baths, infrared saunas, RLT panels, and portable tubs.
- Coordinate with Operations on product dispatch and site-readiness before every job.
- Arrange and manage local labour — electricians, plumbers, and helpers.
4. Installation Supervision & Quality Control
- Act as the single point of on-site authority for every Biotastic installation.
- Brief the crew before work begins — scope, sequence, safety, and finish standards.
- Supervise every stage: unboxing, positioning, electrical and plumbing connection, and commissioning.
- Enforce safety protocols — electrical isolation, load handling, PPE,
and water-line pressure testing.
- Run the full quality checklist and sign off only when every point passes.
- Escalate immediately when site conditions are unsafe or non-compliant.
5. Complex & Custom Project Support
- Execute the Technical Project Lead's installation plan on-site for custom and engineered builds.
- Supervise fitment and escalate real-time problems to the Technical Project Lead.
6. Service & Repair Execution & Coordination
- Own closure of every service ticket — breakdowns, complaints, warranty calls, AMC visits, and preventive maintenance.
- Diagnose faults over call or video first and resolve remotely wherever possible before dispatching a technician.
- Meet agreed response and resolution SLAs; escalate anything at risk to the Customer Support team.
- Coordinate spare parts — raise indents, track dispatch, and return faulty parts for root-cause analysis.
- Classify each job as warranty or chargeable and share the estimate with the client before work starts.
- Run the preventive-maintenance calendar for all AMC and in-warranty accounts.
- Record root cause for every repair and flag recurring failures to the Customer Support team.
7. Service Network Development
- Identify, onboard, and empanel local technicians and vendor partners in every city Biotastic ships to.
- Negotiate rate cards and service terms; maintain an approved-vendor list with agreed pricing.
- Build an outstation coverage map so every client location has a named first responder.
- Audit partner workmanship, rate partners after each job, and replace non-performers.
- Work with Operations to stock critical spares at key locations for faster turnaround.
- Expand the network ahead of sales growth so no new region is sold without service cover.
8. Technician Training & Coordination
- Build and maintain the installation and service technician pool across Chennai and outstation locations.
- Run hands-on induction for every new technician: assembly, electricals, plumbing, commissioning, and safety.
- Train technicians product-by-product — ice baths, infrared saunas, RLT panels, and hyperbaric chambers.
- Maintain a skill matrix and certify each technician before they are allowed to work unsupervised.
- Allocate technicians to jobs daily and track attendance, utilisation, and completion rates.
- Conduct refresher sessions after every recurring field failure or product update.
- Keep training material current — SOPs, checklists, and short how-to videos in Tamil and English.
- Collect formal sign-off and hand over the warranty card and user manual.
9. Field Documentation & Feedback
- Photo-document every installation and service job — before, during, and after — from multiple angles.
- Upload all photos and reports to Zoho within 24 hours.
- Log issues immediately and flag recurring problems.
- Feed learnings back to the Technical Project Lead to improve installation and service SOPs.
- Notify the Customer Experience team once each install or repair is complete for the follow-up call.
What We Are Looking For Must-Have
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience in installation, field service, or site supervision of electrical, plumbing, or equipment-based products (HVAC, water systems, wellness equipment, or similar).
- Proven experience supervising crews and local labour, including electricians, plumbers, and helpers, with ownership of quality and safety on site.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical connections, plumbing and water-line work, load handling, and site safety practices.
- Ability to diagnose faults over call or video and resolve them remotely wherever possible.
- Experience planning and routing field visits, and managing service tickets against response and resolution SLAs.
- Disciplined documentation habits: survey reports, signed job reports, and photo records uploaded within 24 hours.
- Comfort negotiating rates with local technicians and vendor partners, and tracking job costs against budgets.
- Ability to train and certify technicians; fluent in Tamil and English for on-ground training and client communication.
- Based in Chennai and willing to travel to outstation locations as the business requires.
Good-to-Have
- Diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related engineering discipline.
- Background in ice baths, saunas, HVAC, chillers, or other premium or electro-medical equipment installation.
- Experience running AMC and preventive-maintenance programmes for warranty accounts.
- Experience building a service or vendor network across multiple cities.
- Familiarity with Zoho or other field service and ticketing tools.
- Experience creating SOPs, checklists, or short training videos for technicians.
- Experience working with hotels, gyms, spas, or other premium B2B clients.
