About the Role

We’re hiring an IBM MQ Administrator to keep our enterprise messaging platforms secure, secure, and fast. You’ll install, run, monitor, and tune IBM MQ and related middleware, and work closely with application, infrastructure, security, and operations teams to support mission-critical airport systems.

What You’ll Do

MQ & Middleware Administration

- Install, configure, upgrade, and patch IBM MQ across dev, test, staging, and production
- Set up and manage Queue Managers, Queues, Channels, Listeners, Clusters, Topics, and access controls
- Run MQ on Linux, Windows, and cloud platforms
- Handle clustering, multi-instance queue managers, failover, and HA setups
- Do regular health checks and preventive maintenance
- Track queue depth, channel status, and message flow performance
- Fix messaging failures, connectivity issues, and latency problems
- Manage SSL/TLS and certificates
- Implement backup, recovery, and DR procedures
- Maintain middleware standards, naming conventions, and runbooks

Integration Support

- Work with application teams, system integrators, OEM vendors, and infrastructure teams during deployments




- Support integrations of airport operational systems
- Troubleshoot interfaces between enterprise systems, databases, APIs, and third-party applications
- Analyse message logs and transaction traces to find root causes
- Support SIT, UAT, go-live, and cutover activities

Monitoring & Incident Management

- Provide L2/L3 support for production incidents
- Join 24x7 support and on-call rotations when needed
- Carry out RCA and put corrective and preventive actions in place
- Meet SLA, availability, and KPI targets
- Keep incident records, logs, and documentation up to date

Security & Compliance

- Keep middleware compliant with cybersecurity policies
- Implement authentication, authorization, encryption, and audit logging
- Support vulnerability fixes, audits, and hardening with the security team

Automation & Improvement

- Write scripts to automate monitoring, deployment, backup, and maintenance
- Find ways to tune performance and improve operations
- Support modernization and cloud migration work

What We’re Looking For

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or similar
- 2+ years of hands-on IBM MQ administration in production
- Experience on Linux and Windows servers
- Good grasp of TCP/IP, networking, firewalls, and secure protocols




- Experience with HA and DR configurations
- Shell or automation scripting knowledge
- Familiarity with ITIL incident and change management
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Good to Have

- Aviation, airport, transport, or other mission-critical experience
- IBM ACE/IIB, Kafka, ActiveMQ, or RabbitMQ
- Containerized or cloud middleware deployments
- Monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, AppDynamics, or Splunk
- REST/SOAP APIs and integration patterns
- Large-scale integration project experience
- DevOps and CI/CD exposure
