Position Summary

We are seeking reliable, courteous, and hygiene-focused Canteen Staff to join our hospital’s Food & Nutrition Services team. The ideal candidate will support daily canteen operations by preparing and serving food, maintaining cleanliness standards, handling cash transactions, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and hospital staff.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation & Service

- Assist in preparing and portioning food items as per hospital guidelines.
- Serve meals, beverages, and snacks efficiently and courteously.
- Replenish food displays and ensure availability during service hours.
- Follow standardized recipes and portion controls.

Customer Service

- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and skilled manner.
- Address basic inquiries regarding menu items and ingredients.




- Handle feedback and escalate concerns to the supervisor when necessary.

Hygiene & Safety

- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness.
- Ensure food handling complies with hospital safety regulations.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, counters, dining areas, and utensils.
- Follow infection control protocols and waste disposal procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or healthcare setting is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads.
